Grounding and Dreamwork

Last night I needed to spend some time on the back porch relaxing and listening to the sounds of nature around me. I finished my bardic coursework on the OBOD site yesterday at lunch and now am entering a contemplative time where I will write about my experiences on the bardic grade. I decided that a good way to ground myself before beginning any of this would be to sit in the hammock and look at the trees and bird flying by.

It was a very calming moment. Before bed, I drank some tea made from mugwort and blue lotus to help me fall into a deep sleep and dream. I had a very vivid dream where I was giving birth, but there were issues, and I ended up passing a clump of dead tissue instead of a baby. I forced myself to continue to trod on and go through the motions of a meeting at work, all while carrying what I had birthed with me. The dream was very vivid and I am going to do some meditation on it since I have a vague idea what I was being shown in the dream, but feel there is much more. I was surrounded by my mother and two grandmothers in the dream as well, so there is a lot to unpack around that I believe.

Leah
